ODFW sets its eight free fishing days for 2018

Get a chance to discover your love for fishing, crabbing or clamming without the commitment during Oregon’s free fishing days in 2018.

Each year, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife offers eight specific days where Oregon residents and visitors can fish for free anywhere in Oregon without a license, tag or endorsement.

The number of days allowed is dictated by statute set by the Oregon State Legislature. All other fishing regulations still apply.

This year’s days will start this month with Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 17 and 18 on President’s Day weekend. Additional free fishing days will be held on June 2 and 3, Sept. 1 and 2 during Labor Day weekend, and Nov. 23 and 24 (the two days after Thanksgiving.)
